I purchased an old book from the second hand store and removed the pages.
I covered the book in fabric and ribbon and added a decorative ribbon flower to the front.
I lined the purse in an old cereal box cut to fit within the book cover (slightly smaller). I covered the cereal box with a soft pink fabric and made sides with that fabric as well. I purchased the handles but adhered them to the inside of the bag with ribbon and hot glue. The entire purse was put together with hot glue, absolutely no sewing involved for this project.

Strawberry Shortcake Rag Quilt
I finished another Rag quilt today. I made this one with 8.5" squares. 5 squares across and 6 squares down. I made this one for my daughter and she loves it. I really like how the larger squares turned out and it was much quicker to make.

Care Bear Baby Rag Quilt
So, I decided to get into quilting, and started with the very basic square rag quilt. This is my third quilt as my first quilts were nice, but I learned some things NOT to do when making them, and this one turned out the best. It's a baby rag quilt. I used (30) 6.5" squares, 6 squares across and 7 squares down. Only used two fabric patterns (a yellow care bear pattern, and a soft pink and white plaid like pattern) I also used a very soft pink fleece on the back. I think I've found my new addiction.
